Revamping Point Television
At the start of the semester, Point TV’s brand voice was scattered and lacked cohesion. Without clear guidelines, it was difficult for the audience to understand who PTV is and why we are important. Our main goal for the semester was to empower students to create content that consistently represents our brand across all platforms. To support this, I developed a set of guidelines that students would follow with every piece of content, ensuring all posts align with and strengthen our brand identity.
Breaking Down the Process
Each week, students would pitch content ideas for all of our social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn) in COM 2016- Television Workshop and COM 4025 - Advance Television Workshop. After reviewing their pitches, I would approve the ideas, provide deadlines for submission, and share the brand guidelines. From there, students would create their content and send it to me for review and revisions to ensure it aligned with our brand voice, guidelines, and overall identity. Once students made any necessary adjustments, I would finalize the post by strategizing the rollout, writing the post copy, and optimizing it for maximum audience engagement.
