Social Media Management/Photoshoot Production

Lead content development from concept through posting online, managing visual and written assets across all social platforms. Lead photoshoot direction while keeping the brand voice consistent.

I first joined the Shubug team through their sister company, BugBug Pest Defense, a pest defense service focused on providing effective pest control solutions using family-friendly, non-toxic ingredients. I came on board as a Social Media Marketing Intern in January 2023, eager to dive into the world of social media marketing and brand storytelling. During my year with BugBug, I had the chance to shape their social media presence, developing content that stayed true to the brand’s mission while ensuring visual consistency and coherence across all platforms. I took on the responsibility of managing the social media calendar, ensuring timely and relevant posts. In addition, I helped elevate the BugBug DIY Shopify website with thoughtful web design that highlighted their easy-to-use, professional-grade pest control kits.

Around the same time, I was approached by the Shubug team, their sister brand that provides all-natural, plant-based bug sprays focusing on a chemical-free alternative to toxic bug spray. From May 2023 to May 2024, I led Shubug’s content creation and social media strategy, managing everything from ideation to the execution of visual and written content. I focused on relatable, yet educational content and worked hard to cultivate a responsive and authentic brand voice that resonated with our growing community.

LET’S CONNECT.

A digital creative passionate about turning trends into compelling content that builds connection and elevates brands.

After a year of helping Shubug grow, I took a brief break to finish my degree. Now that I’ve graduated, I’ve rejoined Shubug as a freelance Social Media Manager. In this new role, I manage social media posts, from writing captions to scheduling content, to producing photoshoots that bring the brand’s story and product to life. My most recent project was a fun and fresh ‘camp’-themed summer shoot that showcased their new products in a playful, outdoor setting. We chose to shoot everything on film to capture the nostalgic, lighthearted aesthetic we wanted to share across our platforms.

This is just a glimpse into how I contribute to Shubug’s success as Social Media Manager. Be sure to follow @shubug.co on all platforms or shop at your nearest retailer.
